Help! Clutch Issue!

Hi all, i recently had a new clutch fitted on the Ibiza, but ever since it has not been right. It doesn't seem to be clearing properly - to explain what i mean here is an example... With the engine running

When i put the car in neutral and release the clutch then push the clutch down and engage first there is a lot of resistance before it goes into gear. If i leave the clutch down and try going from neutral to first again it is fine, but once i release the clutch, then put it down again and try to go into first the resistance is there again.

Anyone got any ideas, as i said the clutch is only 1 month old so i hope it isn't that - the garage think i'm making it up

Nope, hot/cold it doesn't matter

Is the biting point really low???

This mite be way off the boil but... is the hydraulic fluid topped up as it sounds like the clutch isn't disengaging to me???

The biting point isn't REALLY low, but you might be onto something, think i'm gonna get it down to Awesome for them to check it out

Ive had the same problem, think you have to bleed the hydralic clutch througha bit, my biting point is right on the floor and the thing is a pain to drive.

How do you bleed the system????

yes, try bleeding the system with hot soapy water, iv heard this a few times and worked all times

coke works as well, but i wouldnt use this

You dont wanna be mixing soapy water into the hydralic system lol

You mean try washing the inside of the bellhousing with warm soapy water or coke. The sugar in the coke goes nice and sticky and can help with slipping.

How do i do all of this???? How would i 'bleed' the system??? My clutch pedal is all over the place, when it's cold the biting point is on the floor and a complete c*nt to get in and out of gear, when it's hot the biting point is right at the top!!!!

Need to sort it once and for all!!!!

You can bleed it in the same way as you bleed brakes. Id take it too a local garage and chuck em 20 quid todo it.

Its a simple job, if you know what todo.

Left hand side of the engine bay at the back, yellow cap, its shares the same res as the brakes.

Bleed nipple is on top of the gearbox just behind the res for the powersteering.

What will bleeding the gearbox fix? Will this only fix the biting point of the clutch?
