think its my maf i am now having the same issue of cruise cutting out previously solved by new maf and my mpg has dropped for the same run

weird seeing as you are still getting very good peak airflows.... how do you tell if you MAF is dead and you still get a decent peak?
mine has been slow picking up but thats cause of tc even tho the light dose not always come on turn it off and no probs

well the last time my maf played up and wwas replaced my cruise kept cutting out and my mpg dropped same is happening now sometimes it goes like a rocket other times it drops and is lame but still boosting fine as per the gauge.
i may be wrong but i hope its the maf.

Alex I take it you've switched the TCS off and are still getting this intermittant behaviour?
As already said the TCS system affects the throttle response/power even if the light on the dash doesn't trigger. I run mine off pretty much all the time now as it makes a noticable difference to driving the car. When on the thing is forever dulling down the throttle response and power I find it a real PITA! I know mine isn't chipped (yet) but the TCS is the same.

yeah that was my initial though mate but its just not pulling right at all, my trip to work my mpg was at a consistent 30 now im lucky to hit 24.
now my car is unresponsive my cruise cuts out and jutters and generally annoying behaviour.
if i turn the txcs off its alittle better but 2nd and 3rd dont kick me in the ass like normal

I think I've got a sticky N75 as sometimes on boost it stutters a bit then gives a bit more.
However I'm also thinking now that my coolant temp sender is dodgy - dreadful mpg and once my coolant temp warning lamp started blinking on a cold start, stayed on even when warmed up, but the needle went to 90 as normal and stayed there. It hasn't happened since.
