my light came on today so got me mate to vag.com it ...what this mean

17544 system to rich
16486 mass air flow sensor . signal too strong
01314 engine control module


any help guys ......... and its ticking of lumpy

You'll be needing a new MAF then....

£80 ish from a dealer on an exchange basis (you give them your old one)

Probably the reason for the other codes too. And will cause the car to idle lumpy, or even in extreme cases stall.

cheers pabs already have the codes ............ just was unsure wat they were ......... as the maf one is not the same as on there ..see i did search ....lol

lol ok... but as far as i know EVERY error from VAG-COM is on that list.... somewhere...

in fact, yes, it IS there. Its the 7th in the list:

16486 P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Low Input

And heres you're first one:

well whatever it is, looks like ur MAF is f00ked. I've not seen a MAF actually cause an error code, usually the readings from them are just very wrong/inaccurate, and it makes the car perform poorly, and so it gets replaced.

I'd ASSUME that getting an error code from it means its well and truely f00ked.

have you tried clearing the error codes, and checking them again a day or 2 later? Probably find they come straight back, meaning get it replaced PRONTO.

I'd also say that all 3 errors are linked to the MAF.
Hopefully someone else can confirm.
