has anyone foot one of these in their ibizas ?

xtrons t417 double din head unit.

I'm having problems with the wiring as it has so many extra wires I.e. one for the muting of the head unit.

they have provided me with a diagram but it's all in electric language lol.

would someone be able to assist me with the wiring once I have uploaded a pic of the wiring diagram ?

Red = switched live ie ignition

Green = reverse gear I wouldn't bother
White = telephone mute. Again wouldn't bother
Orange = sidelights switch again no point

Green would only be used if you had a reverse camera attached

Orange is to do with dimming screen in dark and lights for buttons but they will always b on otherwise which is better imo

White is to mute the volume if you have an external phone kit in your car

Don't you just have a multi plug. The wires your talking about should just be in that and plug straight into the back of the head unit.
Red is the ignition live and should be in with the multiplug
Green looks like a reverse gear relay to switch on a rear camera
Orange is a bit confusing "Illumi and light symbols" makes me think headlight relay but unsure
white looks to me like a mute wire for a mobile phone as the steering controls are a separate plug.

Don't quote me on that but thats what i'd make it out to be, just from the wire diagram. You need the red i'd guess but any other if not equipped on your vehicle will not need to be connected.
Pink should also be unused as this is for the handbrake switch to only allow TV's to be switched on when handbrake is up, or so i'd think.

Still, i'd have thought all of this would have been a part of the multi plug??

Got in before me as i took that long to examine the diagram and write my reply, at least you know for sure. ;)

thanks guys :) I have however another annoying problem the iso cable I bought (cheapie)
the remote cable (blue) goes nowhere

what I'm saying is that the remote terminal on the iso cable does not corridoond the the current head unit one as it's connecting to a blank terminal,

does anyone know off hand which one is the remote cable on the standard unit so I can adjust it,

I hope I have made it clear

thanks

xtrons?! who are they?

Those prices (on the website) for an unheard of brand...bit of a gamble? or am i being naive?

you are correct i would not reccomend one to be honest i have had nothing but trouble with it. i.e. the bluetooth i answer my phone and it dissconects the convisation.

as they say by cheap buy twice :(
