Help Me Please - Anti Theft Locking Bolts

Guys is there any one that owns a set of the standard leon turbo cupra 16" multispoke alloys. Reason why i ask is because i need to use their anti theft bolt locking adapter to get the wheel off. I was told that all the 16" multispoke alloys have the same anti theft bolts. Need someone locally. Any one able to help me please

As far as as I know, that's wrong. There are a number of combinations on the locking bolts.

Kwik Fit etc will have a tool for removing (and destroying) the bolts. You can buy these tools online.

There are a number of possible combinations, but there is no way it's the same one for all that style.

well thats what i thought, but i took it to a SEAT garage today and thats they said that i ought to find another set of wheels like mine and ask to borrow theirs. They cant even order a new bit because they dont knoiw what size to order. i have already taken it to quik fit and they couldnt help.

Or if you're an AA RAC member - try them - I'll bet they carry a removal tool.

Failing that, a double depth 3/4" socket and a lump hammer will work a treat.

i did this last week because the studs had previously been fitted by a gorilla

and i stripped the splines. This will murder the stud though.

Ermmmm ... it would help, just a bit, to say where you are

The keys are not all the same, by looking at them i'd say quite a few 1,000's of conbinations. Any of the universal removers from the likes of halfords will remove 'em no probs (but will probly knacker them in doing so).

Also if you have all the paperwork for the car then get yourself to a good dealer and ask them to order you a replacement key, they can do this from the number-tag thats given with the car (i still have mine, in with the handbook and such).

it would help saying where i was wouldnt it. lol never mind.
Went to a seat garage yesterday and no such luck, they said i have to chisel them off, but chances are it would wreck the alloy. So went to halfords to see about a bit to fit in it. Nope, that didnt work either. the bit i wanted was the one they didnt seem to have or never will. lol
Last but not least, i took it to quick fit (again) because they said they had a new tool. That didnt work either. ha ha ha.
I now have it booked into a car engineer who said he can do it for £12 a wheel. He has to weld a bolt onto the anti theft bolt and do it that way.

albevan, how did you do yours again. i bought a 3/4" bit from halfords but it didnt fit. What did you mean by stripped the splines?

I stripped the head of a lockingbolt on a previous car (years of windy-guns). To get it off, I just welded a hexagon bolt head to it. It worked a treat.

Dealers should have a master set of all the locking wheel bolts, its part of the required tool manifest. If not your local vw dealer will.

I took it to a SEAT dealer and they still couldnt do it. They didnt have the master key for mine.
They got their keys from a VW garage so i didnt even bother trying them.
The car engineer is going to weld a bolt on to the locking bolt and get it off that way. £12 a wheel. gees, wish i hadnt thrown it away now. lol

trying to remove my locking stud with the adaptor and wheel brace the splines on the inner circumferece stripped it was completely round on the insde.

i'm sure it was a 3/4" double depth socket i used, it won't fit over the stud you have to hammer the sh1t out of it to get it on, literally unleash the fury! the socket cuts grooves into the stud so you can get it off.

WARNING!!!!!! don't miss the socket cause your alloys won't appreciate it and this will kill the studs!
