They do sell very quick. Which is a very good thing if you have one but a very bad thing if you are trying to get one. I remember when I was searching for mine I'd have to look up autotrader 3 times a day just to see if something has popped up. When I went to sell mine I put it up on Autotrader and 18hours later it was sold for full asking price.
I had the same problem when looking for an Ibiza, I spent about 3 months looking for the right one and missed out on a few.
You just have to be patient and keep your eyes peeled.
I ended up finding a nice low mileage one in black for not much money.
Thats wot im gonna do mate jus lost out on the yellow one on e-bay gutted the yellow ones r well fit. I even brought a laptop an im gettin the net put in my house jus so i can browse hardcore for one. lol fings we do for cars a
Try pistonheads website (not allowed to put link as i'm a newbie ) i found a couple on there and finally got mine from advert on there but flew all the way to aberdeen to get it and then drove it home! depends how far you are willing to go!
Theres this kiwi on ebay at the moment! Every panels a different colour but thats just charming! Also its an LPG conversion which is very interesting, my dad has an lpg chrysler voyager and it saves him a fortune.
I think it does dent the performance a little, not that much though.
i spotted mine on the autotrader website, then bought an autotrader magazine and found it in there, asked the seller if he'd accept a deposit, and then it was a done deal, took about 4 horus to complete the deal lol
I know the problem mate. I was looking for one for about 3-4 months. They sell very quickly indeed. Mine came up on the Auto Trader website so I called the guy straight away and went to look at it the same day - put a deposit down there and then. Picked it up two days later. During those two days his phone didn't stop ringing!
I'd offer you mine but I don't know what I'd buy instead! I don't really get the use out of it that it deserves as I have a family now and need something newer...but despite it's recent problems I know it's still a damn good car. I guess that's partly why they're still so sought after.
At last. I picked one up last monday ad to travel from birmingham to doncaster to get it. Its the Bengal yellow cupra sport gti 16v one that one of you guys told me was on e-bay. I love it to bits and its well quick. Jus cart wait to start work on it. roll on a dry weekend.
westmidlands, dont suppose you know where the famous "shell bar" is. i was enjoying a chicken and mushroom pukka pie and chips parked up outside, when a bengal yellow ibiza came past, blacked out windows and that. if it was you sort your lights because some dont work...
