As it title, fitted new fuel pump, connected the flow and return hoses and block connector and car not starting. Have tried several times thinking i may have an airlock somewhere but still no joy, also when tryin to start the red oil light on dash flashes after bout 5-6 secs. Can anyone shed any light???

Eventually got it started, however its poping/banging and cut out a few times whilst out a run. Is this normal??

I took the car to get remapped a few weeks back and the tuner done a health check on the car prior to loading software. He found the car to be running very lean and also showing a knock sensor fault . He then done various logs to get to the source is the problem and to find out why it was running lean. He narrowed the problem down to a lazy fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator so I replaced the pump today.

I had been on holiday so the car was parked up for 2 weeks and I fitted new pump today, now its missing/back firing/popping and banging etc. Also cut out a few times on test drive

Also changed the FPR and its still doin the same, running rough, popping/banging/misfiring on 2nd and 3rd gear at about 2500rpm.

Anyone any ideas????

Never got remap done as car was running lean. Tuner spent most of the day working on the car running logs and trying to get to the source of why it was so lean. He narrowed it down to the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. Car wasn't missing or running rough before I replaced the pump only after, however the car has been parked up for 2 weeks prior to changing pump so I was thinkin it just needed a good run. I am contemplating putting the old pump back on to see if it makes a differance.
