Recently my car has been showing this red oil pressure sign and to check the owners manual. It starts beeping and when I turn the car off and then back on it goes away.

This only happens when the car is idle and parked up while engine is running. Once it happened when I was driving just creeping in traffic.

I had my car serviced 2 days ago, oil changed and oil filter changed.

It randomly happened again today and I don’t know what it is.

Could it just be a sensor ?

Car is running fine and sounds perfect, it’s only got 69k miles on it.

What's your engine?
Did it do it before the oil service? What oil did they use?
First step would be to scan it to see what fault codes there are?

It done it before atleast 3 times that I can remember. 2 days before the service it happened.

I chose the oil, I bought the 5w30 driv tech engine oil.

I’ll plug in my obd to have a look.

Check the oil level first. scan for fault codes. If the level is correct and there are no faults in regards to a faulty sensor, you need to have the oil pressure checked manually

Personally I wouldn't pick this oil- presuming you used: DRIVETEC - Engine Oil LS Pro 5W-30 - 5L ?
it just says;
Meets ACEA C3, API SN, VW 504 00, VW 507 00, MB 229.51, and BMW LL-04 standards.

Oils need to say Approved/Approval - to actually 'meet' and have been tested to the 504/507 requirement - otherwise its just marketing and you have no way of actually knowing if it does actually meet this spec - and the 504 & 507 is quite a high spec to meet.

You'll find all the good oils say Approved/Approval for 504 & 507.

The cheapest oil with 504 & 507 approval I have found is Mannoil 504/507.

Example: Mannoil 504/507
