Hi everyone

Could anyone help me with this issue please? I have a 2012 1.6 DSG Auto with the 2.2 Media Centre. Unfortunately I'm having real problems with the sat nav (only had the car a few days, not sure if it's worth taking back to the dealership). Basically, it constantly tells me I'm off road (even on long motorway stretches) and has my location about 30 miles away from where it should be. It's very hit and miss though - about 1 in 3 times it works just fine.

If anyone has any ideas for a fix, or what's wrong, that would be great.

Yeah, I hear you, my only problem with that is its 120 mile round trip! :(

I'd rather avoid it if at all possible - hoping for a quicker or cheaper fix!

Probably needs updating at a guess. I know my Garmin did this and after updating the maps it was fine again.

Thanks - I thought it might need updating. Local dealer told me to go back to the place where I bought it which wasn't much help! Lol

It's a warranty issue they should fix it, if they don't contact seat uk

I had the same problem when I installed my RNS 510.

The GPS antenna was the problem, at first it would line up, but the more I drove, the more it moved from my actual position. It seemed as though the dash location received poor signal.

I ended up moving it next the the roof lining for a clear signal. As it's intermittent with yours, it would suggest the problem could lie along the same lines, as they are very temperamental.

Did you get it from a SEAT dealer? If so the warranty is with SEAT, not the dealer, thus any of them should sort it.

Have you tried a system restore, might work if the unit software is corrupt.

Info from the manual...

Press the “Setup” unit button and the “System” function button to open the settings menu.

Resetting the factory settings

The restoration of the original settings deletes all the previous entries, destinations and other settings.

• In the System setting menu, press the “Factory settings” function button.
• Confirm the prompt by pressing “Yes” to reset the unit to its original settings.
