Model Year 24/25 HELP! Scraped passenger rear bumper on brick wall, repair ideas?

I scraped the passenger rear side of the car. I was wondering if the paint touch up pens would be able to fill in or any other ideas I can use at home?

I think that using a touch up pen to repair that size of scrape it would be noticeable after the repair. With a highly reflective dark paint colour it would be pretty much impossible to get a factory finish to the repair using a paint touch up pen, even if the colour is a 100% accurate match. That would play havoc with my car OCD!

With a brand new 2026 car, I don’t think I’d be attempting a home repair on what looks to be a 3” - 4” scrape; I’d be getting some quotes for a SMART repair, and a couple from a body shop too and depending on how much you’re quoted you could then decide which one to go with.

That’s just my opinion though.

Personally, I'd say you've got nothing to lose by trying a bit of touch up paint (other than about £5.99!). @SRGTD is quite right that it will probably be noticeable, but if you're not happy with the outcome, you can still get some quotes from a repair shop or two, can't you?

If the worst comes to the worst, you've still got a bit of touch up paint if you need it in the future!

I don't say that they'd be able to supply your colour, or that you'll be happy with the match, but the match for my previous car was spot on, so I'll use them a second time, if necessary.

For info - I just bought a £4.99 pot of metallic white touch up paint off Ebay, just in case I need some one day. Tested it and it's a good match for my car.
If your car is 'Magnetic Tech Grey', code S7H, the same firm does it...

Although the advert says 'Seat', not Cupra (so does mine), I think it's the same colour. A 10mm pot should be ample.


EDIT: Just realised that your car might be black - and just very dirty - if so, they also do Midnight Black, code LY9T.

Touch up paint is one of the first things a buy when I change my car. IMHO it’s not a question of if it’ll be needed, it’s when it’ll be needed for the inevitable stone chips, especially with the poor state of the roads in the UK .

Checking for any new stone chips also forms part of my (usually) fortnightly car cleaning routine; if I find any they’re attended to them there and then, which stops the onset of corrosion before it can start .
