HELP!! self limiting engine.

Hi everyone,Im Rich and I have a problem with my leon 1.6 (azd),Essentially,its refusing to rev past 4k and even then I have to press the throttle through the carpet!!It also is very down on power and struggles to get past 65(on a level road,hills are embarrassing!!)
I changed the plugs about 1k ago and the belts and pulleys were changed this weekend(103050miles on its original belts,I know,STUPID!!) this car has been very good to me and I really dont want to give up on it yet but its really trying my patience.

sounds like your in limp mode

will have to plug `el *******o' in and see if anything comes up.

when the belts were changed, the plastic pulley had split away from the inner bearing,could this cause limp mode?

got it sorted,timing was out by a notch or two on the pulleys,lucky not to bend a valve or sixteen Thank you inde-tech!!
