Help turbo issuses!

I had to change my sump after hitting a brick got it running a bout 8.30 tonight it idles and revs up fine on the spot, but as soon as i took it down the road i knew something wasnt right!
theres a fluttering noise when the turbo boost!
anyone no a way i can test the turbo or find out iif it is the turbo?
help please lol

hi does it smoke when turbo comes in and how far did you drive after hitting brick ie was there any oil left in sump

no no smoke and i hit the brick checked my mirror no oil was on the road behind so coasted about 50ft and pulled over then the oil was coming out like a hose pipe was turned on lol!

Could the fluttering noise be a boost leak somewhere... does it boost okay

yeah boost fine 25psi! i woundering if its the bearing dried up but ive put clean oil in?!!!

hi mate i know these turbos hate low oil as have replaced many after oil lack sometimes you can save them by allow engine to idle if not take pipe off turbo and see if impellers feel rough or have excsive play

Have you looked at the Tip area? Either maf side or directly on to turbo outlet...

Sounds like boost its escaping from somewere so it has to be a vac line or fmic pipes..

sorted it the turbo came loose! :-( some how?!! change the gaskets ages ago but came loose 2000 miles later ! lol

What do u mean the turbo came loose...on the manifold or tip?

If the sump smashed the oil line was probablys pulled causing the turbo to come loose. Dont know how though, because it's a braided line so has some flex in it. Weird one.

the main blots that hold the down pipe and turbo to the mainifold! i duno weathers its down to the cruchable gaskets or what? but seems fine now!
