hi all cleaned my throttle body out on my ibiza 2l 8v cupra to solve the engine dieing . i now have another problem . i put the immobiliser key in started the car and it reved to 2 k then died. i then put the key in so the lights come up the oil light flashed and then come on constantly when i started it again it went out but the engine died again . also the inspectio 2 light flashed for a few secs any ideas?
checked dizzy coil its fine so is the throttle body .
i am trying to get home and i am stuck lol

you havent took the top off your key have you ?

i had the same kinda problem and the chip in my key had fell out

find the chip m8 and you are sorted ( : and glue it in

car has ran it over outside my partners it in a million bits . gonna have to ring a mobile auto locksmith now

if the chip has smashed you need a key from seat and programme it to car main dealer job affraid. mobile lock smith wont be able to do any thing

why does it start at all with no immobilisor chip?


could it be cleaning the throttle body has put it out of alignement resulting in the high tickover?

its adams partner zoe here it starts and dies mate i know what im talking about im a mechanic the chip is deffo missing i found 1 bit but its been ran over by a car :/

the chip sends a signal to ignition barrel and de activates the immob no chip or broken chip car wont run so need main dealer car wont start without it

its the immob mate you need that chip complete for car to run

can u use one off a say someone breaking a car ?

no as the chip has to be programmed by seat for that car as all immobizers have different codes so it has to be programmed by seat for your car
