yes thats why i said where the shiny part is, on the remote part on mine there are 3 white marks where the 2 parts line up

in the road like at the back of the side. my partner was letting me out of car and dropped his keys

he just put the key end straight back on when he dropped it neither of us thought it could have snapped off

they don't snap, the chip is loose, well sort of held by key part, drop 'em & they fall out easily never to be seen again usually. mine was lost on a wet winter night on grey gravel
