help! weird lights problem

just wondering if anyone can help guide me to what the problem with my 59 plate leon could be and see if its a common fault. i should say im completely and utterly useless with cars but the main thing i am trying to get at is - is this problem going to cost the earth. Some of lights stopped working, i have some indicator lights, dim brake lights, one working headlight and one working side light. any feedback appreciated. thanks

Id start with fuses to find any blown ones

Will do.so it’s possible with a blown fuse for one side to work and not the other?

Definitely the idea being that if a fuse blows you still have some form of lights.
