Help with door car panel clips

Soundproofing my mk3 Leon FR.

Done the front two doors but this rear left door I can't get the door card back on.. I'm not sure about this plastic clip in the picture, not sure how if this clip actually fixes into the other plastic piece on the door card? It doesn't look like it does.

Can anyone who's done refitting the rear left door card please help?

The other clips I've been replacing them with is this one:

From the manual:

2 piece clip. I assume that you remove the piece from the door side (if not damaged) and insert to the door card side. Should then be a press fit stud with two pieces assembled.
