it wont delete revo ,
window down, pop bonnet retain keys ,
lift bonnet , remove battery cover ,

use a 10mm spanner/socket and remove a battery connection and move away terminal from battery , it will spark , no shock risk , leave bonnet up and wait 20 mins or so , i always leave a window down incase when u reconnect battery the doors lock ( did on my pug -phew for spare key) after 20mins reconnect battery close bonnet recode radio ,away u go

Right I have just to bat cover off to have a look. On the left there is a big red wire(+) in the middle there are a few smaller red ones and a black. Then on the far right there is a big black(-) one. I take it this is the one to remove??? Also how long should i leave it dissconected and what should i do once its re-connected - Start car straight away??

Thanks

yes remove the wire which is nearside.
or on the right when look into engine bay from the front of the car.

not dangerous if you can avoid touching the negative and positive at the same time!
20 mins is plenty to leave it dissconnected.

revo should still be in place when you reconnect.

Nope dont start stright away.

Connect the terminal and leave for about a minute, you'll here a high pitched buzzing sound, this is your throttle body re-alligning itself!

Dont start until the buzzing sound has gone

Just for my pennies worth...

You should always take the negative off first (at least on a negative earth car) to prevent you from shorting out the battery by accidentally letting your spanner touch the engine\body work while slackening the positive terminal. When re-fitting it's obviously the reverse so fit the positive first.
