Hi guys/girls need a bit of help. I've done a mib2 upgrade on a mk7 golf so I'm familiar with what to do.

In my MK3 Leon I'm struggling to route the cable from the usb dongle in the middle storage compartment under the air con controls up to the infotainment unit. I'm not really wanting to remove the air vents up top is there any other way?

There is a guide section pinned to the top of this forum:

Might be able to access if you remove air-con control unit and/or pull screen forward.

And workshop manuals here:

Bizzarely enough, done this today myself.

Assuming it is a RH drive car, take it to the right of the screen into the speedo compartment (you will have to remove the speedo surround (pulls off) and the clocks themselves (two screws underneath), though you don't need to unplug them. Then straight down, feeds through ok, to the left of the steering column. Remove the panel at your feet from the centre column and you can get access to feed them into the top of the USB compartment.

Thanks both for your replies! Managed to sort it the following day. There isn't a need to remove vents or Speedo just the air con unit/storage compartment and the screen itself. Managed to feed it near some metal bracing from the glove box side. I stuck a white long zip tie from the glovebox into the middle and taped the wire to it. Very tight space and managed to cable tie the excess cable behind the Aircon unit as the infotainment has barely any clearance to push the cabling back in.
