lol smell the BS

my money says it's another of the usual too good to be true scams myself

leon 9,500 quid

I've seen this for sale somewhere else, it was either autotrader or Seat themselves, and it was ALOT more than £9,500

It says it has rear parking sensors, these wern't available on the FR. Could be after market though.
The sellers the first owner, and it's only done 350 miles since 01-03-07, thats 17.94 miles per week. If I bought A new car I'd drive it more than that!

I've sent a PM with a few questions.

If anyone goes to look at, don't take any money/valuables.

like i said, itsbeen for sale elsewhere, from a garage, would you make a loss of nearly £9000 on a car with 350 miles on it? my money says its either dodgy, or they've missed a number out of the price. It's exactly the same photo's as the ad i've seen before.

It may be genuine, but i doubt it, we'll see what he says to your PM. If your right, it'll be the bargain of the century, even if the wheels are nasty.

it's a scam

pay a deposit by paypal, car disappears

Exactly. Too good to be true. No feedback, take the deposit, unregister from ebay. No reply to emails either.

I'm coming across an increasing number who are registering to sell a few things, and once they've sold the items (hopefully for their sake by Paypal), just disappear with your money. It's always car bits with me. Or they don't make what they'd hoped to get if it's an auction and you never see the item even though you've paid for it.

It's happened to me three times in the last couple of months (mats, grille, bulbs). Fortunately I always pay by cheque so I can get the address. None of the cheques have been cashed, and they aren't for big amounts and I haven't got them stopped at the bank (probably get charged anyway). You should get your money back via Paypal though (eventually).

Just looked up the plate from the pictures and that plate is actually registered as a BMW Z4.

There a couple of websites where you can search for a plate and it brings back the car details.

Looks very iffy to me...

I checked the reg on the DVLA website and it came back as a Leon 07 FR, same as what the advert says.

Strange, RAC website says Z4. Anyway, far too cheap to be genuine.

Would have been snapped up by now as it's been on ebay for about 2 weeks.

Ah, I see what's going on. It has two different registrations.

Front shows XDT as the last three letters (which is a black Z4), back shows XOT which is a Seat Leon. So is this car really running around with two different registration plates on accidentally or intentionally?

Surely it's worth reporting!!:redcard:
