Right so what's tho I here about injector problems ? Looks very expensive ?

Will it still pass its mot with our one ? Just don't want to buy one then burry money in to it

got a PD FR and driving at around 70 i get 500 miles to a tank. go over 75 and i get drastically less :S .

On the dash i very rarely see above 46mpg

That's good reli I never get more the 30 in my car and that's driving around 70-80

Iv got a '09 plate pd 170, with just shy of 36kmiles on, I average 43 mpg around the doors and commute to work daily ( 14 mile round trip). The wife can get anywhere from 36 to 39mpg but I don't think she s found 6th gear, I use the cruise control quite a bit around town, don t think you'll have any problems with dpf if you do over 12kmiles a year any less I'd recommend a petrol

I went to Manchester airport from Gateshead last weekend to pick my mother up and averaged 53mpg @ 70mph, I managed 301mile out £40 diesel. I think I might be able to push high 500 to 600mile out of a tank,

Diesel is great for economy, and is punchy around town, but its not for me, I'll be hoping to get back into a petrol soon

In response to post 20:

I have a dry sense of honour. Apologies to the OP if I caused offence ;)

I was only pulling your leg!

It's the risk I take every day when correcting people.

Xreyuk- no worries buddy

I don't think there is much to look out for with an FR. Just the usual advice when buying any car. From what I hear on here they are pretty solid and reliable.

Once DPF and injectors are sorted its a pretty reliable car. Mine usually sees 42mpg but i don't do massive miles, can get 50 on the motorway but have to drive like miss daisy lol
