Hi guys after trying to get white light from blue normal bulbs, I am wearing the ULTRA 5000k H4 bulbs a fortnight right after I collected my car. To be honest, the light is so so but it is not glaring. By far it is the whitest.

The problem with these ULTRA bulbs or other brands blue bulbs, in the citiy where orange street lamps are lighted, the light from these bulbs is "BARELY" noticeable! :( but in the dark they are strong and nice light however I would say they are not as bright as normal yellow bulbs. Today it rain heavily in Greece and for the first time, as I took my car in summer, I drove in heavy rain and you know what???? I could not even see the road properly with these Ultra bulbs!!!! [:@] Damn I have thrown enough bucks into bulbs, enuf is enuf! :banghead2

Now I have set my mind on a HID KIT conversion no matter what! Sorry guys in the UK, Greece is not so strict over Xenon HID kit! :funk: But I face a problem or maybe an issue regarding the lamp housing. As I have a single headlight H4 lamp housing, there is a cap in the lamp like a cover with a hole from the factory. The question is: How can a Bi Xenon HID conversion kit bulb like the link below fits into the original housing? I bet it might not be able to fit into the housing unless some mod/cut is done???

Any comments? Anyone has experience fitting a HID KIT into their IBIZA ^J or ^L with single headlight?

also fit projectors, listen to my words for your own good :) You'll get much more stylish look and much more optimized lightning, plus you'll have true bi-xenon. Hopefully in 1 month I'll be using my d1s system..

Hi Sinan, I am a little confused of what you said. Can you link me some pics or sites for me to see instead? Thank you.

This is what I want to do. Fitting bi-xenon projectors -the lens thing which focuses light.- and after that using xenons.

Nice but not my level. Too much work, and I do not have a workshop. For the cost of it(if I send to a workshop to get it done), I rather buy the Dectane for eg.

Finally my PHILIPS HID KIT came and fitted. However due to the fact it is a Bi-xenon(Hi/Lo) H4 bulb, the high beam is workable but not so practically as it does not give plenty light with Hi Beam. But the normal or Lo beam is......what can I say? Like Day in the night! :) I should not have spent so much money buying those blue or white light bulbs! I should have listened and bought a HID KIT from the start!!!

See the video below:

You can see show shadows due to the metal plate of the bulbs but no complain for this amount of light. :) I did 2 times ( at 0:36 and 0:44) Hi Beam which you can see it sucks big time!

it is because of the system, this is what I am trying to tell.

H4 bulbs have 2 flemings, one for low beam, one for high beam. Because of the silly h4 system, if you pull the arm low beam will stay on and high beam will switch to on. But if you push the arm, low beam will switch to off, high beam will switch to on. Test it, you'll notice the difference.

PS: You need to turn your headlights on to see difference, otherwise if you push the arm nothing will happen, as normally.

I know what you mean.

But like I said, the Lo beam of the HID KIT is awesome, so no complain even though the Hi Beam is a shame. Here is another video which I took, for the lamps to start up:

don't use xenons if your engine is not running, btw. Aftermarket kits has some potential to do some negative things.

So far so good. Cos mine us Eco Motive model, it can't be help but the engine has auto start stop, when the engine switches off itself(auto start-stop) the Xenon light is still ON naturally. So far there is NO PROBLEM. :). I've them installed for a few months now.
