Took my car for a MOT on thursday and it failed on my HID headlights, i didnt have to pay for a re test but its the hasstle of taking them off etc

the problem was where they test the light in box to check the angle of the light, the passanger light was fine, but the drivers side failed because of the pattern, he showed me and i could c the problem just could not work out why.
he told me to replace it with standard bulbs and he'l pass it.

just thought id let u all know, might just be the way mine had been fitted as i know boys that have passed with HID's before

strange huh....

The only thing i could think would mess up the pattern is if the headlight was out of line or if the reflector wasnt quite sitting right in the lamp (i know mine moved a bit when i fitted my sidelight bulbs but they did go back properly).

lol woah now guys, i installed that kit and there was no upside down bulbs, duh i'd think i'd notice that, maybe the beam deflector inside the lamp unit wasnt correctly alligned, i'd be interested to know how he came to the conclusion that replacing a HID bulb with a std bulb would correct the alignment yet the HID bulb in the other lamp was fine, sounds like hes talking out of his arse
