high idle on cold start

hello guys, its been bugging me for a while now, but on a cold start my cupra idles between 1500 and 2000 and takes a few mins of gentle driving to drop to normal. Any ideas would be great cheers matt, p.s sorry for layout of my post im on my phone

Its the automatic choke. Mines usually idles around 1500 then drops. Pisses me and my neighbours right off because of the exhaust noise

I'd start with a throttle body alignment through VAG COM and if that doesn't help check the MAF: http://seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=121766

i would say throttle body, through my experience with my ST.

haha, all my neighbours are above 60, i must say they never look impressed, i dont have access to VAG-COM, so ill just put up with it.
