hissing, intermittant

guys, as an ongoing fault, i have a whine when i rev the car... doesnt whine when ticking over. if it was a cambelt tensioner wouldnt this whine all the time?

and whilst replacing a bust dipstick tube, i can hear an intermittant hissing, as in start stop hissing, from what i can make out to be the rear of the engine, near turbo/n75 area... cant for the life of me see any split hoses... any ideas fellas.. starting to pee me off slightly now. how loud should the injectors tick also, seem to tick loud all the time, cant hear it inside car or owt, just when hood up...

Injectors can be a pretty loud ticking with the bonnet lifted, had this on a number of cars (especially my old SX with Nismo 550cc injectors!) so I wouldn't worry about them!

well thats one of many issues ruled out then... any ideas on the rest anyone?

swapped a new 006p for oem..still the same

not a leaf or other rubbish around air filter?

new open cone aswell pal......seems to come from back of engine i think..
