Homemade sump guard?

As above really, who has made one of these, what specs, what metals etc etc, my LCR one is past it and as im going for mega lows soon thought id need to get some protection!lol. Or alternatively can you buy one off the shelf? Also sumpguard in the way im talking about it here means undertray or sumpguard as either or will work for me!:lol:

I made one out of 2mm steel. Just a simple design using the original screw holes. Does the trick for me.

I have looked at this and am contemplating making one
I will do it a bit like Lee's OE one and use undertray as a sort of template then have sump guard undertray all in one
Was looking at using some 4mm 5083 aluminium

i was thinking about the same thing yesterday. i am workung on my wifes suspension on her Leon tdi and the sump looks terrible. bruised and batered. Very soon i will drop my LC tdi to te ground and the aump is low as a standrd so I am a bit scared....

You can get spacers and raise the actual engine, or you can get a shallow sump.
