Honest TDI FR Fuel Consumption

Over the last 5k I have averaged 45.6 mpg (08 FR TDI)
Mainly country roads / ‘A’ roads.

Got a 140 and last 1K shows as bang on 40mpg, on a daily basis I go delivering food and can make upto 8 stops (turn engine off) on a 5 mile round trip. Did a 40 round trip yesterday, 90% motorway and got 42mpg but was going at a good pace. Best I had was 51mpg driving from Cromer to Doncaster, would have been 55 if I hadn't hammered the A1 for the final leg of the journey, Cromer to Kings Lynn was nearly 60mpg. First week I had car was 30mpg, well new to derv and it was bloody freezing (Jan).

56 FR TDI 170, a good avarage of 39 mpg, and that includes having fun and keeping the DPF hot, thus the warning light off

09 FR TDI 235bhp over the past 2100 miles average is 46.2 mpg. Thats short journeys as work 5 mins away. My right foot is extremly heavy lol

I have a 54 plate ibiza tdi fr with 29000 on the clock on my morning run to work which id say is around 3 miles i average between 50 - 60 mpg which to me is quite impresive and on a recent run of over 100 miles it was showing 60 - 70 mpg. Im thinking of selling my car and getting the new bocanegra the only things worrying me are the difference in fuel consumption to what ive got and the tax if only they would make one in a tdi version with the power and performance that ive become acustomed to.

Over the last year (well 364 days!) and 16K miles, mine has averaged between 43 and 45mpg combination of town and motorway driving/

Standard Leon 2 FR TDI with 18K on the clock.

Over the last 3K miles it avaraged 41mpg according to the computer.
Thats all sorts of driving as you would imagine.

This morning I averaged 43mpg on a 60mile motorway run, on the way back (with the A/C on) 47.

Have managed over 50mpg with a careful eye on the computer.

Just remembered there is a "trip 2" on the display,

71 hours 15 mins driving, average speed 44mph, 3119 miles driven, ave mpg 36.6 ! :shock:

Just parted with FR TDi 60,000 miles not quite 3 years old av 42 but lots and lots of motorway - now playing with a FR TSFi lets see how that goes

I get a calculated 48.1mpg - 650 mile round trip. Fuel Computer said 51.3mpg a little spirited driving but nothing too daft...

Oh hang on - my LEON has broken down, that was in a 2.2 diesel Mondeo...
