Appologies as I think this has been asked a few times before but some are old threads

I have just bought an 03 Ibiza Sport TDI 130pd with the standard slatted grills upper and lower

I asked the salesman if I could replace them for the honeycombe type as I think thet look far better

He said only upper as the bumper was different for the lower and I would need to replace the whole bumper.

Is this correct please

Nope. If you have the pre facelift bumper - you can change both upper and lower grills. That sales man is on thick shite! First he sells you a 130 as a 100 - then he says you need a new bumper! He's not got a clue! :roflmao:

So I can do this to the front by just ordering stock parts?

Yip.

I use them, a lot of us here do.

The facelift model (New FR) is different though - so he is partially correct.

It's five parts in total.

The two grills at each side of the 'S' badge.
A central honeycomb grill, two fog light covers.

Bout £35 all in I think.

I got mines second hand from Ad Lav. Dealership prices go up and down a bit so my price might not be correct.

i didnt remove the bumper on mine, the top ones pull out and the bottoms unscrew on the sides, and i got angry woth the middle one and broke it out  if you wanna do it properly then the bumper off method is best, but not essential

uppers were about £5 each, lowers about £25 all in about 4 months ago when i changed mine!
