Hey everyone, just wondered if anyone has come across this before,
My CR FR developed a horrible knocking noise, sounded like something loose in the boot but there deffo wasn't, anyway one day I had both front windows down instead of the air con on and the noise is like ten times louder outside of the car - like really bad lol
100% sure its coming from the rear and deffo metallic noise almost like its hollow maybe?
Been to two garages who half arsed had a look and said it was the exhaust - it wasn't its still there, through driving with different windows down I came to the conclusion its the passenger rear where its coming from. anyways the other day I booted the face of the rear pass wheel and you could hear the rattle / knock. tried the other 3 and nothing so it is deffo the pass rear corner. set off from work et voila the noise had 90% gone but now its slowly getting louder again.
Anyone had this? ideas of where to look? could a snapped spring make this sort of noise?
it sounds from the inside like the tool kit in the spare wheel is loose but ive checked that straight away and its deffo on the outside of the car as it is so so much louder, how people don't look round when I go past god knows as it sounds like something is going to fall off lol
Doesn't even need to be a huge bump either - bv the bigger the bump the louder it is but you can still hear it with even a small bump.
