How can I open a stuck door?

I have a Mk1 LC180, when I brought it I was aware that the back door lock was a bit tempremental but it has for the last few months not worked at all. I can unlock the car by key and it opens the drivers door, passenger N/S doors, boot but does not unlock the drivers side rear door.

I want to get into the door to find out what is wrong, what is the easiest way of doing that?

if you remove the seat you can get the door card off, then the metal window carrier. if the door stays locked, you will need to nbeat the lock mechanism off and fit a new one in its place.

thanks for that - are Leon rear locks the same units as the Toledo? A local breaker has a Toledo in stock but no Leons at present.
