How do I dismantle heater vent?

I'm shortly going to be fitting a boost gauge inside my drivers side heater vent.

Question is, how do I dismantle the vent to remove the fins etc..?

Take out the vent and hold a fin and pull it out of the vent casing from the edge, harder to explain than actually do it.

yeah, thanks.. I managed to work it out.. I though I'd have to heat it up and actually separate the vent where all the tabs are glued round the side.

Have now done it, and Have made a blank which fits in perfectly and is roughly the right curvature. Need to get some filler on it tomorrow. But i've lost the centre bit out of my hole cutting set
