Let me get this right.....

You bought £35 worth of petrol & £5 worth diesel (mixed) for £20 - and you purposely put it in your car ????????

If this was the other way around (£40 diesel & £5 petrol) & you put it in a TDI, it wouldnt be half as bad (not intentionally of course, if you'd put a fiver of petrol in the tank by mistake) - I did this a few months ago, but kept brimming the tank with diesel. With a petrol though, the diesel will seriously f**k up your car..........

Get it drained properly & get new filters fitted..................then dont be such nob again !!

Cheers. Yeh i know it was daft.. now. So it won't drain with just gravity once the push fitting is undone?

Under your rear seat.

There is a way of inverting the flow on the pump.

Ive used the wrong fuel a few times and the bloke that helps me gets it sorted like that

I did that too... funny

Had 1/4 Diesel and filled up the rest with petrol...

Still ran for about 10 mins... then stopped dead..

He just drained it... threw some diesel in again and got going...

I am not sure of drastic it can be with the opposite, which is the case here....

its not as bad when small amounts of petrol are added to diesel, but as the OP has a petrol car i doubt this will work...
i think some countries add some petrol to diesel in winter to help somthing that i cant remember....

Waxing. Diesel fuels can have a tendency to wax up (produce crystals that can clog injectors) when the weather gets cold. I think it would probably harm modern diesels but I've heard of lorry drivers adding petrol to diesel in winter.

Waynecoport could try towing the Cupra to the rough part of town, park it at the side of the street & unlock the fuel cap. Chances are, the fuel will be syphoned out of the tank in no time!

As i've just spent £190 on new coilpack (5 days ago) then i'm reluctant to spend more on it just yet and this is something i can do meself anyway. Got hold of a pump, guna pump fuel out and fill up with optimax or similar. Just hope the pump line can reach the fuel? Hope there's not a filter stopping the pipe gettin to the fuel tank? Knowin my luck there will be!! If this fails then off to the garage it goes..

Garage told me it would be ok to top it up with fuel, reckoned it would dilute it enough! Don't worry, i not doin that!

£30 each they were but i got all 4 done cus i was told that the others go soon afterwards? £50 labour and £30 VAT! I'll do it meself next time!

You'll be glad to know that me cars goin to the garage. Between £150-200 they reckon to drain it, new fuel filter (£4), new plugs (£56! Dear *****?). Hopefully there's no more damage??!!
