Ok, so I have a brand new car on the way and I don't want to make a mess of this one when waxing it.....

I have decent products (mostly dodo juice) but every time I wax my car (currently a fiesta st soon to be a new leon fr) I end up getting wax in nooks and crannies which dries, is a bugger to shift and ends up sticking around a lot longer than the wax on the actual panels. It just ends up looking a mess and grabs my attention to what a poor job I did and takes any satisfaction I would have got from the shine away.

So, my question is this - How do you avoid it?

tape the cracks up. i got some from where i get all my car detailing stuff from. any tape should do as long as its not too sticky i think.

I actually have a load of that blue 3M detailing masking tape, I will put it in with my waxing gear and make a point of using when I wax the new car for the 1st time......

Cheers.
