How does your k03s sound?

This is really quite random but for those running a k03s how loud is you turbo when spooling etc?

A few local people seem to think im running a huge turbo/power due to how loud spooling etc is on mine.

My turbo is the un-silenced version as it doesnt have the big cylinder on it and i do have an aggressive map, guessing that could be a factor.

Anyone elses really loud or just mine lol??

Hope a hybrid sounds this good or better

The K04 on my TT with open cone sounds bloody mad on spool so it may just be the turbo/induction combination creating the loud spool

im on a unsilenced k03s standard map still but spool sound is loud , sounds like a boost leak but there is none , took jake out in the car was told thats how it is ment to sound so bring on stage 2 map

Think im going hybrid over winter so hopefully will sound and go even better

Do CR turbos hybrid the actual turbo you send them? or do they send you one already done when they recieve yours?

Most turbo companies send one they've already built and then rebuild yours to give to someone else etc AFAIK

one is a straight pipe (unsilenced) , the other has like a upside down bottle neck on it (silenced)

If thats the case ill buy a cheap k03 to send them and ill sell on my k03s then

Im sure they will rebuild your turbo if you ask them, the only reason they sent built ones out is to save time..

There will be a baffle on the outlet of the turbo if it is silenced, doesnt make a huge difference from what iv heard, mine was silenced and it was still stupidly loud.

Intake pipe and open cone make the real difference in sound. I also noticed it got a bit louder when I removed the PCV mushroom valve in the tip.

Yer defo, on my old k03 stage 1 fitting the forge tip changed the sound alot

I think ill buy a k03 to send to cr

That way im not without my car and i can sell the k03s i have now

Make sure you deal with Mark from CR turbos and ask if he can build it personally. They are very inconsistant with there tollerances. I have checked mine (built by mark) and they are all spot on.
This cant be said for all the hybrids comeing from there.

Berg mine is on the same map as yours and is stupidly loud! A load of whooshing air which makes quite a few people think wtf is in there!

My unsilenced hybrid sounds like a truck, really whistles.

Never really noticed turbo whistle with my past turbos, all been silenced and you just get induction noise.
