Hey everyone,
I am thinking of buying a decat and down pipe but I don't really want to pay someone to fit it. Has anyone fit one themselves ? And how hard/easy was it? And would I be able to do it just on the car jacks on my drive instead of tryin to find a car lift ?
Thanks guys

Is this for an FR pd170?

If so, dont think its a job for the drive. When I took my dpf off to clean, I had to do it at the garage on ramps as the subframe had to be dropped to allow the pipe to come out

No its easy enough, but it would be easier to get someone with a ramp to do it i had it done on a ramp and it easily slides out as you have to twist the pipe downwards to get it out so on the floor would be a pain to get out on the floor. put in youtube something like tfsi downpipe and it will bring up a video how to do it:

hope that helps.

Have you go access to a ramp, if not I wouldn't bother. If you can get it in the air, it'll be simple as it's only held on by 4 bolts..... but if the bolts have seized.... then you're in trouble!
