not too bad - but then i suppose it all depends on the definition of loud - i've not got anything to compare it against really.

I seem to recall the LCR was pretty quiet. At least you'll know its locked with the octy though.

ahh.. one thing to perhaps note here - the LCR and most LC's do not have physical door pins, therefore there will be less noise due to fewer moving parts.
Mine is louder than brendys etc as I still have these moving parts present (until i fathom out how/where to get the blanking caps!)

my LC was loud the LCR is quiet. They must have changed something with the newer ones - newer being the one's with no pins on the doors.

you could just hold down the lock switch in the megane coupe and it would arm/disarm

It's not too loud on my LC, got a SAAB 9-3 at the mo to test drive, and the central locking on that wakes the neighbours
On my MY00/01 it's loud. I can hear it from about 2-3meters outside the car when I close it. Tha't why I haven't activated the autolock/unlock.
On my father's MY03 Octavia it's a lot more quiet. You can barely hear it from inside. On the Leon it's a lound "clonck"

Mine seems pretty quiet, I'm glad I had the 'Chirp' enabled as often I used to think I'd locked it but had pressed the wrong button!
