How Low Would You Go ?

Basically going to get the car lowered soon.
Wondering how low is good ?
40 / 60 or even 80

Dont want it rubbing either....

Will i need spacers aswell ?

rubbing will depends on size wheels/tyres

they CAN go as low as 120 (a lad with a black cupra once wound his coilies as low as they'd go). However, the car was about 2mm off the floor.

Think people had done 100mm

I did 40mm on my 1.4. The cupra has a 25mm drop (and they're 30mm lower than a non-cupra as standard). So therefore, mine is 55mm lower than a non cupra.

On that basis, I'd say, if you're in a non-cupra, 60mm max. I just get over speedhump (have LCR splitter on aswell), and only just get out of some car parks.

Without the LCR splitter, then maybe could do 80mm, but think i'd have rubbing issues then

Would love a cupra but insurance would jus rape me lol ( student )

50 should be fine

i had 40 on my non cupra, with the LCR splitter. trimmed the tiniest bit off my splitter so made it look very low, and used to struggle leaving some car parks.

50 would be ok, and have the splitter nice and flush, and you should be fine

i'm 70mm a just squeeze over speed bumps and multi stories are not friendly coming down.

50mm was recommended to me

110mm ish front and 90mm ish on rear, will go lower when i get the arches rolled.

7.5 x 15 on the front and 8.5j x 15 on the rears.

doesn't do the sump any favours tho...

Used to scrup on the plastic inner arch on the front but thats stopped now and ive had a car full and gone over bumps and had no scrubbage on the rear...

Get some coilovers and just keep going down untill your happy.., job done..

Im gonna drop my 1.4 60mm on 14" tyres, my local tyre place messed up my tyres they aint low profile!
