less than 30,000 on the clock when I bought it. I really should change but it keeps on going!

'03 plate Cupra R done 125,000 miles. So just clocked up over 100,000 myself as it had 24800 on the clock when I bought it in 2006.

Still love driving it, and it feels like new.

Think so. I've just recently picked up a 161k mk1 cupra TDi, all still completely standard.

People were telling me don't due to the high miles???? car has had stamped service each year and doors all still shut nice and tight with no leaks, all the switches are still operating like new, everything just feels solid

Very under estimated cars/engines if looked after

hit 180,000 this week in my LCR, done 30k myself, in one year between mot's it did nearly 50k !!!! Goes like a train (has a remap of unkown origin) and doesn't use any oil or water between services, no rattles or knocks (touching wood as I type lol) is just an awesome car!!

Like many things a lot of this is luck of the draw. Its not necessarily even due to servicing either, i recently picked up a nice condition 04 LC with 1 owner, FSH and Cambelt recently done, ticked all the major boxes really. Still got couple issues that need sorting out though.

Basically it pays to remember that very few people are in a position to get rid of a car that has nothing wrong with it!

Having said that, ive just ticked over to 87k, have sorted a few things out and will be looking to keep the car for a good while yet. I only average around 8-10k per year and will probably look to keep this car for at least 5 years all being well, which should take me to around 130k , which these are more than capable of.
