Just done a quick calc and the Leon fuel tank is 55 litres (approx 12 gallons).
To do 500 miles out of a tank you would need to average 41.67 mpg.
Not saying its completely impossible but I think certainly in the U.K you could never achieve that in a Cupra. Not sure what the optimal speed is for fuel consumption on the Cupra but mine seems to be about 50/55.
I've had about 34 on a run (of about 120 miles mainly motorway) but that's the most ever. You can never cruise for long enough at a certain speed to get much more than that.

but my latest results were 296.7 miles on 47.71ltrs of normal unleaded (an average of 28.27mpg). Younger brains out there I am sure can work out what I should have got on a full tank
