Dropped my car off at my local SEAT garage yesterday for its 2nd service, all went ok, no problems. Asked them hoe much it was going to cost me, the bloke turned around and said £264.05!!!!! :censored:

I almost fainted when he said that!!

How much have other people had to pay out of interest to see whether this is the norm or i have just been but rapped by SEAT?? [:@]

yeah they did a brake fluid change, can rememebr seeing that on the bill, but IIRC it was only £31!

from what i can remember, the service itself cost just shy of £130 and then they charged me for everything they did on top of that....brake fluid change, oil change, plus 1 or 2 other bits. Added bout £100 on top of the cost of the service, then got VAT added to it as well.

Does that sound right to you, coz if not, am gonna call them up and challenge them on it

when i get home from work tonight, i will post up the bill i have got from SEAT showing what exactly they have done and charged me for.

If people could have a look at it and tell me if they think that is all ok, then fair enough, but if you turn around and go, no they shouldnt of charged you for this, etc then i will contact them and speak to them

My car has done 22k miles and is having a 'Basic Service', brake check and brake bleed at JKM tomorrow. Is costing about £180

This will be it's 4th service as its just over 3 years old.

when i rung them up and booked it, i asked "can i book my car in for a service", gave them my reg number and he said "20,000 mile service?" and i said yes.

Will get a copy of the receipt i got and stick it up for you to have a look at

Photos of my bill i got through

does that look right to you?

THink you got well and truely raped on that service cost matey, i think when i have mine done it will cost about half what you paid..... and thats using genuine parts too, but at a porsche speacialists.......
just for comparison, my 5k service which was oil and filters cost £55 inc the parts and vat...

my service cost me £45, I just bought all the bits and my dad did the service for free, stamped the book etc im not too fussed about seat service history as alot of the time the people that do the work are school leavers and dont treat the car with care. mines due in a couple of months so I will do the same again.
