no, 51 reg mk3s are in the higher bracket (IE, I just paid £235 for 12 months)

government changed the law about a year ago

from 51 onwards tax is based on emissions, where pre 51 it was engine size i think

If your car was registered on or after 1 March 2001, there's a series of Car road tax bands based on fuel type and CO2 emission levels. For example, mines a Y plate, registered Aug 2001, so unfortunately I pay the higher rates on the CO2 emmissions. Any car registered before 1 March 2001 is on the old rules....
