How much oil will a cupra use over the course of a year? Just debating on whether to buy a 1 litre or 4 litre one. Will probs be doing 10-15k a year

aaaaaaand how much oil does it take to fill it?

CHEERS

(I apologise if this has been covered before)

4 and a bit litres on an oil change

I bought 8 litres from mine so have plenty for top-ups and enough to only need to buy 4 litres for my next oil change

I thought I read somewhere that consumption can be as much as a litre every 1000 miles, to be honest my car does use a bit so I would say that might be fairly accurate although it sounds a lot.

Most of the cupra's I service use a bit of oil (a bit more when tuned).
If you see what comes out of a catch can it better should be.
I would be worried more if the motor doesn't use any in between services especially if the oil starts to smell after petrol. So far seen several hpfp leaking fuel to the oil which replaced it (kept the oil nicely topped up).

Half a litre in first 10k (from new) none since. At 19k now. Previous FR used more, about 500ml every 4k iirc.

Hardly used a drop on my cupra when i had it,all depends if you drive it hard or not as mine very rarely got driven fast so never used much in the near three years i had it, in fact i never even used a litre in that time, but as others have and will say some do and some don't use oil, luck of the draw it seems.

My Cupra is quite thirsty on the oil, as is my brother's FR. Looks like luck of the draw, based on the responses here!
