take header tank cap off and run car from cold. squeeze all the rubber hoses you can lay your hands on, and every now & again rev the engine to 2k or so to really get the coolant flowing.
keep at it, check the
lower rad hose temp it should stay stone cold till temp gets to about half way then warm up. Keep the coolant level topped up, and check the thin hose to the top of the tank squirts coolant & bubbles when you rev the engine. when the hoses get too hot to touch or you see the coolant level start to rise, put the cap back on.
oh and the rad fan should kick in at about 3/4 on the gauge.
