Hi guys, i just got Ibiza 6k TDI with 110 hp with cupra equipment, and all i have instaled in it where "just" new suspension (Billstein gas shocks and Eibach springs) and Remus and now i am wondering how to get it faster and which brand of ECU-s and such is the best for my car, and offcourse your tips :D on making improvment...thx infront

Why would buying a petrol make him go faster?
Heres one to google for you. AUDI R10
Derv's kick a55 and don't forget it!

202 bhp with 240 lb/ft of torque VS 190-200bhp and 300+lb/ft of torque.
Whose would win?
Answers on a post card please ;)

hahaha dont get all stressed fella im just having a laugh im sure there is many diesels faster than my Leon!
BUT standrs leon/ ibiza vs standard leon/ibiza diesel... petrol everytime and even YOU got to admit that!

My post wasn't meant to come across like that. sorry.
As for standard V standard..... nope, sorry mate but my car when standard beat a Golf GTI MK4 with ease. both 150 bhp.
Now its mapped, it kept up with a BMW 330CI off a roundabout and was strong enough to overtake when the road was clear. both of us were accelerating hard, and i admit it wasn't easy, but have a look at the figures for that BMW. 3 litre engine to start with, Vs a 1.9..... Diesels are very under rated, and although the petrols are fast (nobody can deny that) i honestly think that the Dervs would match them, and in some cases beat them.

Not all about top speed, diesel engines weigh more so round a race track you will be understeering sooner!
Totally agree.
I have only had 135 out of mine. It had more in it (probably not alot) but i was running out of road, and nerves.
Mine does understeer when cornering fast due to the weight, but that said, the torque coming out of the corner is so low down the range, it would pull faster out of the corner. 12 and two 6's really

135 not bad mate i only get just over 140 out of mine.
No in all honesty i agree that diesel vs petrold there is **** all in it now a days but in my opinion and thats MY opinion i prefer petrols but if we all like the same then the forum would be a bit borin...!

You've hit the nail on the head. i prefer the low down torque and money i save on fuel, tax and insurance, but i wouldn't turn down the LCR if it was offered to me.
Both are fantastic car's in their own right, and my opinions will be different to yours and vice versa.

cultus.... welcome aboard SCN, and might i say an excellant choice of car ;), any chance of posting some pics of it up, use the Seat Pictures section on here.

Anyway the best bet for the older generation non PD TDIs is getting it Upsoluted, they have a superb record with the non PDs and i have yet to hear a bad word about them, and they are cheaper than most others at about £300. It will get you to about 135-140bhp and 210-220 lbft of torque, so a nice upgrade. do a search for Upsolute in the TDI section for loads of information.

any other questiosn just ask.

Hi guys,

The figures for a Custom code re-map on a 110 non PD are..

Phase 1- 140-145 - torque - 235-245
Phase 2- 145-155 - torque - 235-250

The figures quoted are in the safe limits of the car..

see the under mentioned thread for more details
