Does your cupra tdi have tdi badges on it? cos mine doesn't. Is it meant to have them?
A guy at works fr has tdi badges under the side indicators on both sides

cupra is not badged any different from 20vt to tdi version yet fr's are

mine had TDi badges yet not FR only that the seats say FR and the twin exhaust thats the only way of tellin my car apart! lol However, I was silly enough to spend £40 on two R badges and two FR badges...they are now removed along with the TDi badges to be a badgeless apart from the ibiza and seat ones :D

badges are a strange thing

the old FR had TDI on the back, and FR on the side, whereas the facelift has TDI on the side, and FR on the bootlid, (much to my annoyance coz i wanted peeps to know they'd just been beat by a diesel, not an FR  )

but strangely again, the Seat 130pdi is badged TDI with red DI, whereas my Audi pd only has the I in red??????????

Stu

^^^^^not sure on the all silver bit, vw and audi do them all silver now with now red bits at all to keep you guessing

seat seem to still use the red bits but I don't think skoda ever did

anyone???

If it only has the 1 red character that means it's between 90 and 110bhp mate., Two reds is 130, three red/all silver is 150+? I think so, at least.

That used to be the case. But as stated by nath it isnt anymore. VW/AUDI no just randomly go for any old colour combo!

At one point, I had FR badges below the indictors, then when the Leon FR MK1 came out and they were there, I took them off and using a spare one I placed that on the bottom right of the bootlid, to then find Seat doing it again on the facelift FR!

Only thing they didnt do, was nick my idea of placing one on the front grill.... yet :D

my 54 plate fr is badged like this...

think its down to luck of the draw tbh

I removed the cupra badge from mine this weekend and added a smaller more discreet one! There is an easier way to ger it off than the dental floss method, get a hair drier and hold it over the letters one by one. You may need to hold it for a minute or so but it warms the glue up and you can then just peel the letters off! If any of the foam/glue is left behind heat it up again and scrape it off with a fingernail. All you should be left with is a bit of residue from the glue, this will come off with glass polish, I used autoglym on mine! Its far less harsh on ur paint than white spirit! After this just go over it with a good quality wax or polish and it will look like the letters were never there! :)

hmm interesting stuff, gonna look like a bit of a gimp on my drive with a hairdryer lol but i suppose its gotta be done!!

prefer that method to the white spirit one, got some decent autoglym gift set stuff with posh polish and tar remover so should be well on me way yay!

Must admit, I felt like a tit sat on the drive waving a hair drier at my boot lid, but it did the job, lol! :D
