just a small up date. i hace finally got my custom springs and porsche d90s on the car and taken all the lime green off (i had a tits full of being recognised)
just some pics of a local car show i was in today.
A company from sheffield called spring coil ltd where very helpful- only problem is that u have to send a spring away to them so they can measure spring rates etc!
the springs i had made up were 2.5" shorter than the standard rear weitec coilover springs
the pics were from the vintage car show in singleton park may day bank holiday! more of a general car show rather than vintage lol!
195 40 r16 - the 195 45s rubbed too much and don't allow you to go low enough! I am running 30mm on fronts and 40mm on rear!
In an ideal work I would run 35mm on front but thts just me being picky!
They are et53 with 8j rim! So I think the offsets work out about 23 on front n 13 on bk! Something like tht anyway!
No probs about the questions, anything else feel free!
ye 195s will look class mate! mine are on an 8j rim but the rim sticks out lots! got the adapters from awsome gti on line! take a look! there are also loads on the for sale section on edition! take a look!
will be good when u get your dont! u will have to show me some pics mate!
ordered my adapters other day just got the fk ones off ebay so just waiting on them did yours come with bolts? it says these don't but surely i need really long bolts as the backs are 35mm and not a clue where to look for these
They will supply short headed bolts with them tht will allow u to bolt the adapter onto the hub, but u will have to use normal wheel bolts to secure the wheel to the adapter! Make sure tht u have the merc wheel bolts too, the head is different I think! Porsche are similar to vw! Merc I am pretty sure are different - other wise ur wheels could come off! Nt ideal situation!
Hey mate! Sorry for the late reply. I am not 100% about which bolts to get, however I am certain tht the stand vag bolts have a different tappered end to the merc bolts!
As for the length! U should b fine with standard sized bolt as u would b bolting onto the adapter which is the same distance as the hub!
Edition 38 forum may have more info regarding bolt type etc!
