Hybrid estate boot

Hi all

I currently have a MK3 Cupra estate, and am considering ordering a MK4 Cupra estate in VZ2 hybrid flavour, but I'm a bit confused by the quoted boot space...

Is the boot essentially the same as in the MK3 when it's on the higher setting?

Is there any space at all under the floor or is it just batteries?

I always have my MK3 in the higher position but do store a few bits under the floor.

I have pulled the trigger without verifying this detail - will need to get my daughters pram in and was just crossing my fingers haha.

It's the same size boot as a regular mk4 estate, you just don't get the variable boot because of the batterys, so legth and width will be the same, I did have a graphic of comparison of mk3 and mk4, I'll see if I still have it!

I currently have the boot floor lowered in my Mk3 to get the greyhounds in but I chucked one of them in the hybrid I tested & he was ok. It does seem higher than the normal position in the Mk3

Does the hybrid have any storage at all under the floor? It looks from some photos like there might be about a third of the floor length as a separate compartment? Maybe where the charge cable lives?

Yeah there's a compartment to store the cable in..it's not tiny but you couldn't get a lot else in it

Managed to get to a dealer to have a quick look and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the cable compartment, so I've ordered the car.

What's the VZ2 missing compared to VZ3? Looks like the seats are the main difference?

Yes seats aren't leather & not heated on the VZ2 & the electric tailgate is only on the VZ3

I was told they are when I ordered, I really hope so as the Astra it's replacing has heated wheel and seats! I apologise if this info is incorrect and also I'll be disappointed in a £37K+ car if the seats aren't heated I know after a certain build week in 2021 (can't remember but think it's 40) that heated wheel will be standard on VZ2 (possibly others too)

CUPRA Formentor and Leon 2022 model year updates - SEATCupra.net

Formentor can now have Beats audio, new paint colours on both models and DSG models will get a heated steering wheel as standard.
