As many of you know its been quite a while since I bought my lovely written of 8v Cupra.

It's been in the garage since october. And on Friday last week I insured it, and drove it too the local exhaust place, was really odd consider the only car I have ever driven is my little 1.4 ibiza.

I didn't put my foot down too much as it wasn't really safe, but you can feel that it wants to go..

I do have one complaint though, the gears - they kind of sloppy, its really hard to discrib, they are all in the right places but its slow, Like you know when you try to run through water - it kind of feels like that. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

But I just want to drive it all the time now :D

It's a different linkage type on the 8v Ibiza - however, you can change it for a short shifter which will change the bushes at the same time which will make it much more direct

How much to you reckon that will cost..

The gears aren't that fair apart but it feels like you couldnt ever get a reasonably fast change out of it.

If your at the next meet I'll let you have a feel of it. lol

tailgate is still silver at the mo.. theres a place about five mins away that I have on good authority are very good so it will most likey be in there before too long. on the lookout at the mo for a decent set of alloys for it , as the ones that are on aree the originals and are very scabby..

Well done Hayz. Do you recon you will drive it down to the next Pompey meet? Want to see it in the flesh as the photos looked pretty nice :D
