As per title i keep experiencing connection problems when trying to use my I-phone with my cars USB/AUX connection. I normally just use a 5th gen ipod Nano with the system (connected via the £10 Ebay sourced lead) in the car instead of CD's etc, and generally this is VERY reliable too with only VERY occasional (happened at most twice since i had it) loss of connection, But generally it's trouble free! However - when i come to swap out the Ipod for my Iphone (say when i want to use the NAV or just listen to different songs) i keep getting apparent loss of connection - is this a common thing? (it's an Iphone 4 btw) or is it likely down to my cheapy lead, or an issue with the USB/AUX ports on the car!??
If i pull the USB lead out and then re-connect it, It's Ok again for however long until something (maybe driving over a pothole or somet daft like that!) causes the connection to drop out and the radio/CD player displays the "MEDIA IN INITIALIZING" screen until you pull the connection and re-insert it again!! gets VERY annoying - and happens a lot when trying to use my phone (pretty sure it's NOT the connection on the phone too as it never fails to connect using the proper USB lead when charging/syncing it with Itunes!!
If it's just an issue with the cheapy lead, and it just means i need to buy the proper SEAT one then so be it, but it doesn't explain WHY my Ipod is generally Ok!??
Anyone else get this kinda problems!???
My cars got the boggo Radio/CD headunit job btw - not sure what type, but it's not the nav job!!
