i want a ko3s turbo any ideas

hi guys i want to upgrade to ko3s but searched for ages now and cant seem to find one apart from the cheap ko3 on ebay can anyone shread some light please

Yeh thats or keep on eye out on the for sales section, thats where i got mine from, members often put them up when upgrading to big turbos. Backdraft sell then new and used so that would def be a good shout.

You got all your other mods in place?

ive been looking everywhere for a ko3s, what we need is the ko3s'ers to upgrade to ihi then sell their old turbos

i cant really afford the £450 for a new one!

Now that confused it! So a ko4-001 will bolt straight on like a ko3s?? Why change the name then? LOL!

They are loads and loads of flavors of K04 turbos, not just the K04-023 found on LCR and S3's.

Just so happens that the K04-001 is a straight fit for a K03/K03s. I think you can get a little more out of them than a K03s, ~250bhp.

Search the forum for K04-001 and you'll see the differences between that and a K03S. IIRC they were an early variant made by Borg Warner which have ever so slightly larger housings than the K03S allowing for a BIT (and I mean only a bit) more potential

For the extra money they normally cost over a K03S it's not worth it and whatever you do avoid the cheap imported version from China, really not worth it...
