I was thinking about clueing some black suede to it or paint just was thinking about it . ????

Depends how much of a complete solution you want. You could try fabric dye (as the headliner is fabric).

If you intend on re-trimming it, with suede or such alike, then i would recommend spraying some resin over the fabric first, to give you a more rigid base to apply your material to. The glue you use may struggle to stick to the fabric and the longevity of the retrim may suffer.

Failing that, buy a Leon Cupra R black headliner from eBay or a breakers yard!

Re trim over the top with velour material as per pic , done by previous owner plus front pillars etc with built in tweeters

which glue did you use? mine is still up and its been done a couple of years ago.. heat is no issue!

I got spray glue from hobby craft and got the sued from there aswell. What glues best? Iv herd of putting resin on first. Need the plastics tho you know anyone getting rid?

I trimmed mine in black leather with spray glue, but mines started to drop in places so I need to redo mine. Also mine was too dark against the satin black pillars, so I will redo mine in a satin black fabric. I can't get the LCR roof lining cause I got a sunroof.

Here's an old old pic of mine
